Loughborough University seeks to appoint lay members of its governing body

Loughborough University is seeking to fill a small number of vacancies for lay members on its governing body, the Council, which is responsible for effective governance and oversees the University’s future development.

It is looking for individuals who are able to bring their professional skills and experience to the work of the Council. The University is keen to increase the diversity of its governing body and would encourage applications from all groups in society.

Council normally meets four times a year and members are also usually expected to play a further part in the institution’s governance by serving on other specialist committees which cover a range of activities. Members are not paid a fee, but expenses are reimbursed.

For more information or to express interest visit www.lboro.ac.uk/council-members

Expressions of interest are requested by 31 October 2014.
