Scholarships for distance learning postgrad courses at the Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC)

Loughborough University’s internationally-renowned Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC) is offering a number of scholarships for its distance learning Postgraduate Certificates.

All three of WEDC’s postgraduate programmes – Infrastructure in Emergencies, Water and Environmental Management, and Water and Waste Engineering – can be studied by distance learning, allowing you to gain a qualification from one of the UK’s leading universities wherever you are in the world.

Nine distance learning scholarships have been made available through the Loughborough University Development Trust, which raises funds from former students, other friends of the University, and some grant-awarding bodies. The scholarships provide partial funding to study the four modules that make up WEDC’s postgraduate certificate.

Applications for the Loughborough University Development Trust scholarships are welcome from nationals of specified low-income countries who are not already studying with WEDC. You will need to have a confirmed offer of a place on the relevant programme before you can apply for one of the scholarships.

One John Kirke Scholarship is also available to study the Urban Infrastructure module. This scholarship is open to all nationals of specified low-income countries.

The deadline for applications for all the scholarships is 31 October 2014.

Studies will start on 15 January 2015.
