Loughborough sports psychologist says England can bounce back from their World Cup exit
Dr David Fletcher, a performance psychologist from Loughborough University, says that England can recover from their short-lived World Cup campaign.
In an interview with BBC Breakfast sport presenter Mike Bushell on Saturday morning, Dr Fletcher said the team would be devastated in the short term, but how they respond in the longer term depends on how their management and coaches handle the situation.
Dr Fletcher said: “Our research at Loughborough has shown how some of the world’s best athletes have used huge defeats in their early careers as a stimulus to go on and excel at the highest levels.”
