University announces MBA Scholarship for National Asian Business Association members

Loughborough University’s School of Business and Economics, along with the National Asian Business Association (NABA), today announced a new MBA scholarship open to a member (or nominated candidate) of NABA who has three years of managerial experience and a recognised bachelor's degree.

Recognising the importance of the British Asian business community in both the region and nationally, Loughborough University is keen to promote the value of an MBA to the Asian business community, offering a full-fee scholarship for its full-time or part-time MBA programmes to the successful nominee or applicant (details below).

NABA Chairman Uday Dholakia said:

“This announcement of a full-fee scholarship for the Loughborough MBA is very welcome news for NABA’s members. The British Asian business community, in the UK and in particular the Midlands, continues to play a vital role in growing the economy, and having the support of a top-tier university such as Loughborough in up-skilling our members can only enhance the role Asian business plays in Britain and enhancing international trade, inward investment and joint research and innovation links.”

Loughborough MP and Vice President of the Indo British Trade Council for the Leicestershire Asian Business Association (LABA), Nicky Morgan commented:

“I am delighted that Loughborough University is supporting our highly successful and entrepreneurial Asian business community through this scholarship.  We are very lucky to have such a prestigious university in Leicestershire and it is very welcome to see their commitment to supporting business people and ensuring they have the best possible skills.”

MBA Programmes Director Dr Donna Champion added:

“British Asian businesses are significant wealth creators and crucial to local economic growth. We are looking forward to welcoming the best student that the network has to offer to our highly regarded MBA programme here at Loughborough.”

Scholarship details:

One full-fee scholarship worth £18,500 for either the Loughborough Full-Time MBA, Full-Time MBA with Internship or Part-Time MBA commencing September 2013 (see application details online at www.lboro.ac.uk/mba).

Closing date for scholarship applications is Friday 23rd August.
