Story so far

On 6th July 2005, Jacques Rogge stood in front of the International Olympic Committee General Assembly in Singapore and announced: "the Games of the XXX Olympiad in 2012 are awarded to the city of... London".
Following this announcement Loughborough University has maximisied the opportunity to develop a tangible legacy from the London 2012 Games.
This has been achieved by the University signing agreements with the British Olympic Association (BOA) and the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC).
Not only will both teams be based on campus in the lead in to the 2012 Games, but the agreements also create opportunities beyond the core provision of a preparation camp.
Although the arrangements are stiill being finalised, this section aims to capture the story so far, and provide examples of key activities that have emerged through the agreements.
