The School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences combines sport and exercise Sciences and the biological and psychological disciplines of the human sciences.  

The large number of internationally and nationally-renowned staff enable a wide range of academic expertise to be available across all degree programmes.

The Times Good University Guide 2010 rated the School 1st for Sport, 4th for Anatomy and Physiology and 8th Psychology.

Sports Technology Institute

The Institute, home of the Sports Technology Research Group, has established an international reputation for its work with global brands on the design, simulation, testing and manufacture of a wide range of sporting goods.

It has been granted UK Sport Innovation Partner status to ensure innovation is harnessed to maximise the potential of future British champions and has been supported by grants from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and East Midlands Development Agency (emda).

Athletic Union

The Athletic Union (AU) consists of 55 clubs, organised for the students by the students.

With over 4,500 members the AU is the most subscribed section in the whole University. The AU has now won the National University Championships, BUCS, for 30 consecutive years.

The AU Executive team are responsible for organising and running the Union. They run key events such as Loughborough Superstars and the Healthy Living Week.
