5th International Conference on eLiteracy

eLit2006 was held on the 28 - 30 June 2006 at Loughborough University, Loughborough, East Midlands, UK

eLit2006 drew together academics, teachers, IT trainers & IT support staff, librarians and learning technologists from around the world (America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, Ohman, Poland, Qatar, South Africa and the UK).

Delegates came to share experiences and to talk through how to embed eLiteracies (especially IT & information literacy) skills into the curriculum and society as a whole.

Papers covered a wide range of topics including:

  • creating digital frameworks
  • developing online tutorials to enhance information literacy skills
  • blended learning
  • action planning / personal development planning / e-portfolios
  • blogs and how they can be used in reflective learning
  • enhancing IT skills of employees / in the community / mature adults
  • and much more
