Off-campus Access
AnyConnect Client
IT Services recommend that where possible users use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client if they wish to access on-campus services remotely.
Staff Desktop XP and Windows 7 Service only
If you are using an IT Services managed computer (Staff Desktop Service or Windows 7 Service), a full Remote Working Client will be pre installed and available from the 'IT Services Menu' on your laptop. If you take a Staff Desktop Service desktop computer (as opposed to a laptop) home, you can install the Client as an optional application. Other Windows users - Staff and Students
For all other users of Windows (XP, Vista, and Windows 7) not managed by IT Services, you can install and use the Windows Remote Client (not Staff Desktop).
Other Operating Systems
IT Services have made the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client available to all Mac OS X (10.6 Snow Leopard and above) and Linux users.
You can also Access the Virtual Private Network from an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
