IT Services operates a number of computing labs across campus, containing P.C.s running Windows XP. The labs can be booked by lecturers for teaching purposes and are available for general access when not booked. To find when labs are booked, consult the relevant document at https://internal.lboro.ac.uk/diss/avs/uniwide/LabReports/ (restricted). There are computers in the Library, Haslegrave, and Bridgeman buildings which cannot be booked and are therefore permanently available for open
IT Services owned labs that are open outside of normal opening hours can be accessed by swiping your identification student/staff card. Consult the Labs location http://www.lboro.ac.uk/it/labs/labs.html page to find lab access information.
If you would like to use the hearing loop and microphones in the large labs, please visit the Service Desk on Haslegrave Level 3 (top floor) N.3.12 to sign out a key.
Some departments operate their own computer labs, often in conjunction with IT Services. This ensures that all labs work in the same way, and you can easily move from one to another. You should consult the Labs Contacts page https://internal.lboro.ac.uk/it/uniwide/info/labs/contacts.html for further information and help.
If you are an IT Support person requiring additional information on supporting labs, please e-mail IT.Services@lboro.ac.uk.
Computers in the Library (www.lboro.ac.uk/library/services/it.html) are available to all students and staff.
Engineering Faculty labs (www.lboro.ac.uk/eng/it/hardware.html) are available mainly for those in that faculty.
