How do I Apply?

To apply for the Loughborough University Study Abroad Programme you will need to complete an application form.

A Study Abroad application form can be downloaded below. In addition to the completed application form, you will also have to supply several supporting documents:

  1. Academic Transcript & Qualifications
  2. Evidence of English Language
  3. Photocopy of passport photo page

When are the Application Deadlines?

For all applications to the Loughborough University Study Abroad Programme, the best advice we can give you is to apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment!

Because there are several start dates depending on English language level, there are also several deadlines for receiving applications. Please see table below which lists application deadlines for each starting date of the English course:

What happens after I apply?

  1. The Study Abroad Team will send you an email confirming receipt of your Application Form.
  2. Loughborough University will evaluate your application form and you should expect to hear back from us within one month of your application. However, at busy times, it may be longer before we are able to make a decision on your application. 
  3. If your application is successful, we will send you an Offer Letter along with a reply slip which you will need to return within three weeks.
  4. If your offer is conditional (English or Academic) you will need to send proof of meeting these conditions in order for your place to be confirmed and a deadline for meeting these conditions will be included in your offer letter.
  5. Once your place at Loughborough University is confirmed, you will be sent a Visa letter (for applicants wishing to study in the UK for a period of less than six months) or a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) which you will need in order to obtain a student visa. 
  6. If you need to take a pre-sessional English course, you will need to book onto this course directly with the English Language Support Service.
