WHY DOES THE WORK NEED TO BE DONE?
To Comply with the University Fire Risk Assessment Policy.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Organisations must ensure that the fire protection components within a building: “are subject to a suitable system of maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair.
Week commencing Monday 10th April 2017
HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?
Facilities Management Asset Care staff will be onsite carrying out the maintenance which will not have any impact on individuals or working areas, this notice is for information only.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY?
To ensure the fire doors work and maintain the integrity of fire walls within the building in the event of a fire.
