All IT Services Unavailable on 11 July 2018, 15:00 - Midnight

The University has invested in the upgrading of essential IT infrastructure.

All University IT Systems will be unavailable during this upgrade (including telephones and printers), you will be able to continue to work on your computer offline, accessing only local (My Documents) files.

This work will replace the equipment installed in 2011/12, specifically it will increase the speed of applications and reduce the risk of unexpected equipment failure and provide the capacity for new systems to meet the growing demand.

Timescale:
IT Services are keeping interruptions for this essential work to a minimum by starting at 15:00 on Wednesday 11th July 2018 with an expected finish time of midnight. Services should be considered at risk the following day. We are restoring and testing LUSI functionality as first priority, ready for important exam board meetings running on Thursday morning.
