Notice of University Roadworks July 2018

Works to University Road, 225m section at the bottom of the hill between Haslegrave and Schofield Buildings and University Road, 320m section between Student Accommodation Centre and Bridgeman Buildings

ADDRESS AND DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS
1. University Road, 225m section at the bottom of the hill in between Haselgrave and Schofield Buildings.
2. University Road, 320m section in between the Student Accommodation Centre and Bridgeman Buildings

WHY DOES THE WORK NEED TO BE DONE?
These sections of road have become terribly uneven and degraded due to the consistent traffic in the area.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY?
A safer, smoother access road to aid the flow of traffic. This will also help to reduce the likelihood of accidents if pedestrians decide to cross over the road in un even areas.

TIMESCALE?
Subject to contractor’s confirmation; on a Friday and Saturday of either the 06/07, 13/14 of July 2018.

HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?
The is a chance of this work affecting traffic due to a re-diversion, however we are purposely splitting the works over a Friday and Saturday to seek to minimise affecting the campus.
