Male and Female partcipants needed for running study
We are recruiting for:
BOTH male and female (18-35 yrs.) runners (running 3+ times per week) for a research study funded by Loughborough Design School (Environmental Ergonomics Research Centre) and Adidas Future.
We are testing clothing sizes medium and large for males and x-small and small for females.
The aim of the project is to investigate t-shirt functionality and comfort during running exercise. Participants will perform 4 experimental trials, wearing a different running top each time. During each experimental trial you will be asked to run on a treadmill at a fixed running speed (chosen by the participant during a pre-test) for 45-minutes at a moderate intensity . During the run you will be asked to rate Thermal Sensation, Wetness Perception, Wear comfort and T-shirt Texture using perceptual scale. The experiment will be performed in a controlled climatic room set at 30°C air temperature, 50% RH (relative humidity) and wind speed corresponding to the running speed. During the test heart rate will be recorded.
Participants will be compensated for their time.
Testing will be conducted this month (March).
If you are interested in taking part or would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact Katy Griggs (K.firstname.lastname@example.org) who will be conducting the testing.
