FM Notice of Works Haslegrave Building and Cricket Pavilion
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT NOTICE OF WORKS
External Landscaping around The Haslegrave Building and the Cricket Pavilion.
Contractors have been employed to landscape the paved area around The Haslegrave Building and nearby Cricket Pavilion.
WHY DOES THE WORK NEED TO BE DONE?
To improve the appearance of the paved area, prevent trip hazards, improve wheelchair access and improve the student experience in the area.
The work will start on Monday 3rd July 2017 and is expected to be completed no later than 1st October 2017 (weather permitting). Works will be suspended to enable
functions such as degree ceremonies, LU Clearing/Adjustment and Open days.
HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?
This type of work has been carried out elsewhere on campus previously without causing disruption to the building users inside, therefore no disruption to the building users is anticipated, however windows should be kept closed to avoid excessive noise and dust nuisance, car and pedestrian users will have to proceed carefully and observe some diversion notices whilst works are taking place.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
The work will involve transporting operatives, materials and plant machinery through the campus,
nearby road, car parks and footpaths, the operatives will wear hi-vis jackets, Heras fencing and
safety tape will be used to cordon off the area of the work and material will be delivered/stored in
the carpark. Please see attached layout.
