FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - NOTICE OF MINOR WORKS
Sir Frank Gibb Walkway Canopy
Work commencing 02nd August 2017 until 18th August 2017
The Walkway Canopy to the Sir Frank Gibb building is being removed.
WHY DOES THE WORK NEED TO BE DONE ?
The canopy is deteriorating and the glazed panels are leaking.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY?
A new canopy is being designed and will be installed later in the year. It will be more presentable and provide better shelter for students and staff walking between the Sir Frank Gibb building and laboratories.
Work will commence on Wednesday 02nd August 2017 and will be completed by Friday 18th August 2017.
HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?
Heras fencing will be erected around the walkway and access to the Sir Frank Gibb building and laboratories via the walkway will be restricted whilst work is in progress. The heras fencing will be moved at the end of each working day to enable access to the laboratories between 17:00 and 08:00 hours. Parking spaces will be required for skips and welfare units.
