WORK ACTIVITY 1 - CHECKING WATER PRESSURES AROUND SYSTEM.

This work is planned for Saturday 12th August 2017 for a 2 hour period early in the morning between 7.00am and 9.00am. This should have minimal impact on any of the buildings, as we are only expecting a slight loss in water pressure, rather than any loss of supply.

WORK ACTIVITY 2 – SEVERN TRENT CHANGING MAIN INCOMING VALVE

This work will have a bigger impact as there will be a loss of supply for a short period during the day - however it is essential this work takes place.

This work is planned for Wednesday 23rd August 2017. Due to how Severn Trent operate, we can only advise that the work will take place sometime between 7.00am and 5.00pm and that the water supply will be turned off for somewhere between 1 and 3 hours. If all goes to plan the work should only take 1-2 hours.

A number of the buildings have tank water supplies and therefore we are hoping that this will mean that there is little or no impact on the supplies in these buildings, particularly toilets. Some buildings however are likely to be without water once the work commences and occupants will therefore have to use alternative toilet facilities in nearby buildings. We will send out an update on alternative toilets facilities and reminder that the work is taking place 2 days in advance of the work.

We will monitor the situation once Severn Trent’s installation team commence work on site and we will update with further notices and information if necessary on the day.

WORK ACTIVITY 3 – CHANGING OVER WATER SUPPLY TO NEW PIPEWORK SYSTEM

There will also need to be several phased planned shutdowns of the system affecting the above mentioned buildings. This is necessary in order to change over from the old pipework to the new, which has been installed as part of the Infrastructure Works. Not all buildings will be affected at the same time. We will schedule these shutdowns either at weekends or evenings to keep disruption to a minimum – dates and more details to be advised in the next few days, but these works will be over the next 3 to 4 weeks.
