Local organisation runs ‘Prepared Week’ campaign

This week (8-12 October) the Local Resilience Forum for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland is running a campaign to encourage people in the region to be better prepared for emergencies.

The initiative is part of a wider campaign – Action Counter Terrorism (ACT) – which aims to raise awareness of what to do if you are caught in a terrorist incident. While the chances of being caught up in such an incident are rare, it is important that we are all prepared and know how to protect ourselves if the need arises.

Further information is available on the ACT website. There is also a separate video – ‘Know the Game Plan: Stay Safe’ – providing advice for those attending stadium events.
