Professor M.N. Ravishankar, Professor of Globalisation and Emerging Markets at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) and Head of the International Business, Strategy and Innovation (IBSI) group, has been recognised as a leading global scholar in the prestigious AIS research rankings system.

He is ranked 13 in the list of 200 top global scholars based on the adjusted count of research publications in the AIS basket of eight world-leading scholarly journals over the last five years (2013-2017).

Professor Ravishankar, who also teaches on the Loughborough MBA programme, said: “This ranking is a testimony to the IBSI group’s and SBE’s significant research strengths in the areas of digital strategies, innovations and emerging markets. Since this ranking system is closely followed and respected by the global scholarly community, a top 15 position is something all of us can be proud about.

"I would like to thank all my PhD students and colleagues in the School for working with me on impactful projects. I am confident we will be able to do even better in the next few years.”

Research articles that contributed to Professor Ravishankar’s top 15 ranking include:
