Creative and Print Services awarded for innovative photography

Last week, Creative and Print Services were announced as the winners of Best In-House Photography at the Association of Creative and Print Managers in Education (ACPME) Annual Awards 2018.

The team were nominated for the photography they produced as part of an undergraduate clearing campaign, which aimed to promote subjects areas such as Geography, Drama and Chemistry, whilst also emphasising the #LboroFamily message.

Judges were highly impressed with Loughborough University’s entry, which they noted as ‘colourful, vibrant and playful’ and ‘appealing on a number of levels’. They continued to say that the photographs ‘had a relaxed, personal composition and a pleasing palette’ and ‘had social sharing deeply embedded’.

Of the award, Alison Freer, Head of Creative and Print Services said: “It is always an honour to be recognised by peers in higher education for the outstanding work we do, and this was our first win for photography in a category with an incredibly high standard.

“Our award recognised the imagery taken for an undergraduate student recruitment campaign aimed at raising the awareness of specific subject areas and to amplify the #Lborofamily message.”

The team have also been shortlisted for the Best Multi-Channel Campaign in the Design Print and Marketing Awards which take place on 21 June.

Their nomination for this award recognises the team’s significant contribution to the University’s recent Dementia campaign, which aimed to reach out to the University’s new and existing donors to support ongoing dementia research conducted at Loughborough.
