Phishing emails

Please be aware that a phishing email is currently circulating the University which is requesting for personal information to process a grant payment.

Phishing is an attempt to acquire sensitive information in the form of usernames, passwords and financial details by pretending to be a trustworthy source via electronic communication methods.

The email in question is asking for bank details. If you have provided this information, please contact your bank immediately.

If you have received an email and have not provided your details, please do not engage in any way and delete it.

Please block the sender if the email has been sent via a Gmail account. All lboro.ac.uk email addresses should not be blocked.
