Interactive theatre piece to examine the use of bystander intervention

An interactive piece of forum theatre that examines the use of bystander intervention in everyday life will be showcased on campus this week.

The piece, titled Step In, will look at a variety of different scenarios that individuals face and how everyone can become an active bystander.

The performance has been developed by a group of third-year Drama students and will take place in Martin Hall on Thursday 15 February.

It is being held as part of Let's Talk about Consent Week, which is led by LSU’s Welfare and Diversity team and comprises workshops, bystander intervention training and discussions.

Doors will open at 7pm with the performance beginning at 7:30pm. It is free for all to attend and places can be booked here. A proportion of tickets will be available on the door.

Please be aware strong themes of sexual assault and sexual harassment are present throughout the performance.

Step In will also be recorded so if you would not like to be filmed, let one of the front of house team know on the evening.
