Apply now for business funding

A new fund to support enterprising Loughborough University students and recent graduates has just launched.

The Loughborough Start-up Fund – managed by the Loughborough Enterprise Network (LEN) – is offering grants, ranging from £500 to £5,000, to successful applicants that want to kick start their exciting business ventures.

If you have a business idea or existing business – that is either pre-trading or in the early stages of development – you can pitch now.

The Fund is open-ended and accepts submissions throughout the year, but it is not limitless. So, those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as they are ready.

It's easy to apply – just a simple, two-step process.

The first step is to submit a 90-second video pitch that gives the judges a good feel for the business/business idea.

If you are successful at this stage, you will then be invited to complete a full ‘Step Two’ application.

Charlie Wheeldon, Head of Student and Graduate Enterprise, said: “Our new Fund offers fledgling student and graduate businesses the chance to secure start-up funding. We’re really looking forward to working with the University’s entrepreneurs as they embark on their exciting business journeys.”
