Launch your business with the Studio
The Studio is currently accepting applications from finalists who want to launch their own businesses when they graduate.
Loughborough’s home for graduate start-ups, The Studio, provides access to the resources, expertise and knowledge needed to transform a business idea into a sustainable, successful venture.
Since 2011, the Studio has supported nearly 50 businesses, 20 of which are now registered and trading - with 82 permanent jobs created, 19 internships and work with 67 volunteers.
Members of the Studio benefit from a great start-up support package, including:
- Access to University facilities, resources and assistance
- Mentoring, business support and guidance
- Intellectual Property advice
- Professional development training
- Funding and investment opportunities
- A supportive network of peers
Women’s snowboard and ski wear brand, Snooks, started life in the Studio and now the brand is appearing in international Snow magazines such as Whitelines.
Co-Founder Susie Beere says of the company’s time as Studio members: “It was amazing to share the Studio with so many driven, ambitious and brilliant entrepreneurs.
"It’s rare to find such an all-encompassing support structure that offers ongoing training, mentoring, tailored advice and funding along with awesome shared working space and facilities.”
