University’s marketing wins public relations and digital print awards

Loughborough’s marketing team won no fewer than eight awards at three ceremonies last week.

The team picked up two top honours at the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association) National Awards, which celebrate the best of the best of the UK PR and communications industry.

Loughborough’s Golden Ticket campaign, which engaged new Loughborough students on A-level results day, beat off competition from Marks and Spencer’s 2016 Mrs Claus Christmas campaign to win the In-House Consumer Award. Emma Leech, the University’s Director of Marketing and Advancement, was presented with the prestigious In-house Professional of the Year Award.

Two days later, the Golden Ticket campaign won the Multi-Channel Communication Award at the Digital Printer Awards 2017, held in Grosvenor Square, London.

Then at the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Midlands Pride Awards, Loughborough won four gold awards and one silver. #LboroFamily’s Golden Ticket won three golds – Low Budget Campaign, Education Communications Campaign and Best Use of Social Media – and the fourth went to the University’s Spit Happens campaign, through which more than 2,000 eligible stem cell donors were recruited to the Anthony Nolan register.

The At a Glance publication, which provides an overview of the University, picked up a silver award.
