Water Research Day and relaunch of ‘Changing Environments and Infrastructure’ (CEI) Global Challenge

Academic staff, early career researchers and PhD students with an interest in water research are invited to participate in Water Research Day.

This cross-campus initiative takes place in the Desmond Penrose Atrium, Stewart Miller Building on 22 May.

Recently, significant emphasis has been placed on water research across various disciplines. The University’s Changing Environments and Infrastructure (CEI) Global Research Challenge has considerable expertise in this area.

By coinciding with the relaunch of the challenge, a ‘Water Network’ event has been organised to increase cross-school awareness and establish stronger water research networks across campus. Participants from all University schools are invited to attend.

The event will centre around four keynote lectures by external participants, interspersed with poster presentations. A number of participants from NGOs, regulatory organisations and industrial bodies have also been invited to attend.

The poster presentation sessions at the event represent the most important component of the meeting and will facilitate networking and wider discussions.

Participants are therefore invited to bring a poster to display a piece of research, as well as any copies of recent publications or reports that could be displayed. A prize will be awarded to the best two PhD student posters presented at the meeting.

Further details on the event are available here. For any enquiries, please contact Diganta Das on 01509 222509 or d.b.das@lboro.ac.uk.
