Staff and students invited to ‘The Spanish Kronstadt? The Barcelona May days 80 years on’ talk

The Anarchism Research Group, part of the Politics, History and International Relations (PHIR) department, invites staff and students to attend a talk at 5pm on 3 May 2017.

‘The Spanish Kronstadt? The Barcelona May days 80 years on’ will be presented by Dr Danny Evans, who recently completed his PhD at the University of Leeds.

His thesis investigated opposition to the CNT-FAI's (Federación Anarquista Ibérica) policy of collaboration with the republican state during the Spanish Civil War.

This is the fourth event in a speaker series organised by the Anarchism Research Group throughout 2016/17, with further talks scheduled. More information is available on the PHIR website.

The talk will be held in room K.105, in the Herbert Manzoni building.
