Facilities Management Notice of Works – Road Closure at Whitworth and Elvyn Way

Why does the work need to be done?

The road will be closed to traffic due to the high winds today. The path remains open to pedestrians.

What are the benefits to students and staff of the University?

To ensure the safety of staff and students.

Timescale

Commencing at 11am 23rd February 2017.

How will the works affect me?

For the duration of the works vehicular traffic will not be able to pass along Elvyn Way.

How can I get more information and help?

The Facilities Management team looking after the works are as detailed below, and any of them will be pleased to assist in any way possible and practicable with difficulties you experience as a result of these works.

For your own safety and that of others, Facilities Management and the Contractor request that you assist by taking note of work in progress and any signage for alternative routes.

Safety barriers and fencing are placed for your protection and we ask that you keep out of fenced-off areas.

If you have any worries about the works, or have been affected in some way by them, please contact one of the above – we will deal promptly with your concerns.
