Online Learning Platform Lynda.com now available

A new online learning platform and downloadable App, Lynda.com, is now freely available for both staff and students.

Lynda.com will enable you to develop your skills, with free tutorials anytime and anywhere.

Lynda.com can help you acquire software, technology, business and creative skills to achieve learning, personal and professional goals. The resource, which offers access to over 6000 video tutorials, has been purchased as part of the Digital Strategy for Learning and Teaching and is therefore completely free to use on desktop or mobile devices.

Staff can utilise Lynda.com for personal development or incorporate it into your teaching to enhance the digital skills of your students. You can select relevant learning materials from Lynda.com, collate them into a playlist and link to them from your Learn module

Students can search Lynda.com for access to over 5000 video tutorials on topics covering IT, business and creative skills. You can access these courses at a time that suits you, supporting your learning in a convenient and easy way, with bitesize downloadable videos.

Anyone wishing to access the platform can go to lynda.com and click on the option to Sign In, through an organisation URL (using lboro.ac.uk).  This takes you to a University sign-in page where you enter your University credentials to gain access to the wealth of resources.

For an overview of the key features, watch the How to Use Lynda.com course.  Lynda.com is also available as an app for a wide variety of platforms including iOS and Android.
