Speech Bubble returns to Loughborough Students’ Union

Loughborough University Arts’ poetry performance night returns on Monday as Speech Bubble makes a comeback at Loughborough Students’ Union.

Professional poets will perform alongside students and staff in an open mic slot, which is open to anyone willing to perform for a live audience.

Guests for this session are Jess Green and Ash Dickinson. Jess has performed at Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival and the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2014, her poem Dear Mr Gove went viral and has now reached more than 300,000 hits.

She has also written for Channel 4 and the BBC and is now working on her first full-length play.

Ash Dickinson is a writer, poet and comedy performer. He has performed in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Jordan, Germany and the Czech Republic.

He has headlined many shows and festivals throughout the UK and has been widely published in newspaper, magazines and anthologies.

Speech Bubble with Jess Green and Ash Dickinson can be heard at 7:30pm on Monday 5 December at Loughborough Students’ Union.

Entrance is free for students. £4.00 tickets are available on the night for non-students.
