Award-winning piano trio to perform at University

Award-winning professional piano trio from the Capriccio Ensemble will perform at the University next week.

The group will perform in a free lunchtime concert at the Cope Auditorium on Wednesday 23 November.

Capriccio is formed from professional musicians Clare Lee, John Bean and Elizabeth Paling who wish to bring a broad range of chamber music to people of all ages.

Clare Lee studied the violin at The Royal Academy of Music and has played with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the English String Orchestra.

Cellist John Bean also studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He subsequently played with the Halle Orchestra, Manchester. The orchestra toured regularly around Europe and visited countries including Hong Kong.

Elizabeth Paling grew up in Loughborough and started to learn the piano at the age of 6. She studied at the Royal College of Music and is now working in the Midlands on a new series of solo CD recordings.

The lunchtime concert will take place in the Cope Auditorium, Wednesday 23 November at 1:30pm. It is free to attend.
