University to host event for internationally acclaimed organisation

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) is bringing their roadshow, Getting Started with Digital Preservation, to Loughborough on 9 June.

Loughborough University is an associate member of the DPC which is the leading UK advocacy organisation for digital preservation. The DPC is internationally recognised as a catalyst for research and improvements within the feild.

The roadshow has been organised in collaboration with Dr Gareth Cole, Research Data Manager, with support from Dr Robert Harlan, School of the Arts, English and Drama, and Dr Clare Ravenwood, School of Business and Economics Centre for Information Management.

Through a series of presentations, case studies and exercises, participants will learn how to apply techniques of assessment, risk management and planning to help secure their digital collections.

The event is open to DPC and non-DPC members and requires no prior knowledge to attend.

Registration roadshow is open until 1 June at 5pm.

Attendance is free for DPC members (including Loughborough staff and students) and £30 per person for non-members.
