Samaritans presentation on campus next week

A presentation on the work of the Samaritans is being held on the University campus on Wednesday 29 June.

The short talk is open to staff and students to attend and will include a short presentation on the background of the Samaritans, followed by an overview of being a Samaritans volunteer and a Q&A session.

The presentation is being led by John Richardson, former staff member of the Design School and John Wilcox who previously worked for the Academic Registry.

John Richardson comments: “Samaritans has now been operating for 60 years providing support for individuals experiencing emotional distress. Come and find out why Samaritans volunteers feel so strongly about their organisation and why it might be right for you too."

The event is taking place in the Pearce Committee room, Hazlerigg Building from 1pm – 1.45pm and is free to attend. No booking is required.
