IT Systems Outage

On Wednesday 29th June IT Services will be carrying out critical work that will require downtime on all IT systems and will have an impact on all staff and students.

How will the works affect me?

The service outage is scheduled to take place at 6am until approximately 10.30am. During this time, virtually all IT systems will either be unavailable or only available intermittently. Users will have internet access to external web sites (e.g. Google),wireless access and the ability to log on to PCs while this work is being carried out.

Whilst key business services like iTrent, LUSI, and Agresso will be unavailable for the entire period, some IT services will remain generally available with a couple of short 10 minute outages during this time period, this includes telephones, printing from documents stored on your PC, and student PC Lab use. Research HPC services are not affected at all.

Timescale?

Work will take place on the morning of Wednesday 29th June from 6am until 10.30am. The Service Desk will be providing an updated recorded message from circa 10:00 onwards advising when systems have returned to normal operation (see telephone number below).
