Important information from IT Services regarding scam calls made to staff
IT Services have been notified that non-authorised agents claiming to be from ‘Microsoft’ have been attempting to contact departments on campus.
The callers have been informing staff that they have hidden viruses on their computers.
The caller ID is showing number as 1509 4884473.
Please be aware that this is a bogus call. Please do not disclose any personal details, or go to any websites that they suggest you access.
If in doubt, please contact IT Services immediately.
If you have disclosed your credentials, please perform a password reset using your university computer or via https://passwordreset.lboro.ac.uk/ssprm/ and inform IT.Services@lboro.ac.uk immediately.
