Loughborough subjects rank top in National Student Survey

Loughborough University has ranked in the top 10 in 15 subjects for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2016.

The NSS is an independent and anonymous survey of final year students which has been conducted annually since 2005.  It offers an opportunity for students to provide feedback on their experience at Loughborough by rating their course, the facilities at the University, and the Students’ Union on a scale of 1 to 5.

Results have revealed that Loughborough has ranked in the top 10 for 15 subjects, 8 of which rank inside the top 5 in the UK. Results are:

Civil Engineering

Computer Science

Communications and Media Studies

Sociology

Top 10 for Overall Student Satisfaction

Politics

Social Policy

Loughborough Design School

Geography

Information Management also polled top, ranking 1st in the UK for satisfaction with teaching. History was awarded a rating of 96% for overall satisfaction, followed by Accounting at 95% and, 94% for Economics, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physical Geography and Environmental Sciences.

The University received an Overall Satisfaction percentage of 89% in the NSS compared to a national average of 86%.
