Loughborough’s sporting legends send good luck messages to Rio athletes

Loughborough University's sporting legends have shared their advice and good luck messages with all Loughborough athletes competing in the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in a video launched today (Friday 5 August).

Sporting icons Paula Radcliffe, Seb Coe, Steve Backley and Tanni Grey-Thompson are amongst those passing on their advice, with Radcliffe saying:

“I’d like to wish all of the Loughborough athletes going to The Games the very best of luck. The Olympics is a huge opportunity and a huge stage, but what you need to keep in mind is that you’ve earned your place to go there and this is your opportunity to show what you can do. Don’t let the occasion get to you, just relax, enjoy it and get the very best out of yourself.”
