New senior posts appointed

Announcement of new posts appointed in September.

Among those appointed this month is Professor Tracy Bhamra, in the senior post of Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise).

Professor Bhamra joined the University in 2003 and was the former Dean of Loughborough Design School. She has extensive research experience in the field of sustainable design and has as over 150 publications associated with her work. Professor Bhamra has been awarded over £2.5m of funding for her research from the UK government and research councils and a number of large industrial organisations.

Her experience and expertise has been recognised in the field and she has been invited to speak at various events and conferences and has supervised over 20 PhDs.

As Pro Vice Chancellor (Enterprise), Tracy holds the strategic responsibility for Loughborough’s academic engagements with business, public and voluntary organisations to create social, cultural and economic impacts through knowledge exchange.

This includes student and graduate entrepreneurship, IP exploitation and spin-out, a range of bespoke programmes to facilitate engagement with regional businesses of all sizes, and development of the University’s Science and Enterprise Park within which Loughborough Innovation Centre is based.
