Loughborough hosts 10th International Symposium on Computer Science in Sport

Held between 9-11 September, campus was the location for the 10th International Symposium on Computer Science in Sport, following a strong tradition of symposia held at the University.

Over 40 colleagues from 10 different countries gathered for the event, including guest speakers Professor Arnold Baca, Professor Thomas Schack and Dr Michael Hiley.

The symposium was organised by the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with the School of Sport Exercise and Health Sciences, School of Business and Economics and, Sports Technology Institute.

Professor Paul Chung, the General Chair of the Symposium, said: “The three day symposium was a great success with many high quality presentations and plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas.”

The next symposium will be held in Brazil prior to the Olympic Games.
