Prizes awarded to top-performing Business and Economics students

Students from the School of Business and Economics have been awarded £300 at a ceremony hosted by the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Society of Chartered Accountants (LANSCA).

Prizes were awarded by LANSCA to the highest achieving second year students studying BSc Accounting and Financial Management and BSc Banking, Finance and Management.

LANSCA is the East Midlands regional society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), the largest professional accountancy body in the UK.

Students Abbie Robus and Michaela Struthers were awarded prizes for placing first in the second year of the BSc Accounting and Financial Management and BSc Banking, Finance and Management degrees (2013/14). These awards were presented by former LANSCA President Mark Hook. 

The second two awards were presented by Colin Field, the current LANSCA President. Jennifer Anne Mathieson was awarded the 2014/2015 prize for placing first in the Second Year BSc Accounting and Financial Management, whilst Rajivji Odedra was given the award for placing first in the Second year of BSc Banking, Finance and Management.
