Jonathon Porritt considers ‘Where now for the Environment Movement?’ in public lecture

Following a number of years working on sustainability projects with BP and Shell, environmentalist and writer Jonathon Porritt discusses the unlikely move to renewable energy for major fossil fuel companies.

In this free public lecture, Jonathon, leading environmental campaigner and founder director of Forum for the Future, will present why he believes that no major fossil fuel companies will commit to renewables in the near future.

With positive engagement proving futile, he will explore what the strategic implications are for environmentalists today.

The lecture will take place on 19 November at 7pm in the Brockington Building. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and open discussion following the event.
