Professor Jonathan Potter to leave Loughborough
Professor Jonathan Potter, Dean of the School of Social, Political and Geographical Sciences, is to leave Loughborough to take up the post of Dean of the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University in the US.
Professor Potter has been at Loughborough since 1986, becoming head of the Department of Social Sciences in 2010 and Dean of the School the following year. During his time as Dean, the School saw a major improvement in its research quality and excellent rankings in national newspaper league tables.
Professor Potter will take up his new post in the US on 1 August 2015.
