Call to nominate a Technician for Papin Prize

In June, The University of Nottingham is hosting the first Higher Education Technicians' Summit on behalf of the M5 group.

The event, due to take place on Tuesday 30 June 2015, aims to bring technical staff together from across the region to network, share best practice, and encourage collaboration. Keynote speakers include Lord Bhattacharyya and Dr Helen Sharman – the first Briton in space and now a technical manager at Kingston University.

The inaugural Papin Prizes will be awarded as part of the event, which recognise and celebrate best practice in technical services. Technicians can be nominated by colleagues or students via this link goo.gl/X9v95U.

The M5 is a group of Midlands research-intensive universities including Loughborough, Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Warwick and Aston, that is exploring how to boost research collaboration and improve the sharing of equipment.
