H2020 information event and seed fund challenge

Leading EU consultants ARTTIC will deliver an analysis of H2020 themes and calls, focussing in on those areas most applicable to the Challenge themes.

They will also give their insight and experience of H2020 to date, relevant commentary from Brussels, and explain how best to set-up successful projects and prepare winning H2020 proposals.

Event programme

09:30-12:00 H2020 Information workshop
A detailed analysis of relevant themes and funding calls

12:00 – 13:30 Networking lunch
Cross-disciplinary networking & consortia building

13:30 – 16:00 Seed fund challenge event
Informal presentations of bids for funds

Academics and researchers are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions. Pre-booking is not necessary but you are welcome to contact Catherine Allford (c.allford@lboro.ac.uk / 01509 228 677) for further details of the event.

Please speak with your relevant Research Challenge Manager to discuss a potential application for seed funding.

Proposals for the seed fund challenge are invited in the form of an informal 5 minute presentation covering the research idea, links to a specific call, fit with one or more of the Research Challenge areas, and the envisaged consortia.

They may include any relevant costs linked to the development of H2020 proposals and the facilitation of consortia building, e.g. travel, networking etc.

Typically funding will be limited to a maximum of £3,500 per successful proposal, but larger amounts may be awarded to projects of exceptional merit. For budgetary reasons, all monies must be spent before 31 July 2015.
