University runners take part in Diamond Relays for charity

Following the success of the Green Belt Relay Race in London, University runners are preparing to hit the track again.

In May, Staff and alumni completed the Green Belt Relay Race challenge to raise money for the Antony Nolan Trust. The team came first in the Corporate entries, winning a trophy which is displayed in the Hazlerigg building.

On the back of this success, University runners have entered two corporate teams for the Diamond Relays on Monday 27 July. The race is a corporate 5 x 5k and will be held on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at the end of this month.

One of the teams has been sponsored by Andrew Burgess and the other by the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering with teams being led by Dr Adrian Spencer HoD AAE.
