Weaving workshops

Following the success of her Winter Weaving Workshops, Studio member Emily Whitesmith – founder of Weaversmith – returns to campus with her popular hand-weaving workshops.

On Tuesday 10 February, Emily will begin to teach a four-week course of workshops suitable for absolute beginners as well as more experienced weavers wanting the chance to experiment.

Each week, participants will use a traditional eight-shaft Ashford table loom to create a beautiful handmade fabric sample.

Emily says: “I’m really looking forward to starting this new series of workshops at the University. The six I ran last winter were so well received and enjoyed – I’m hoping that these four classes will attract some familiar faces as well as people brand new to weaving.”
