The future is bright – Here East CEO visits Loughborough

With the opening of the University’s new London campus fast approaching, the chief executive of Here East – the organisation developing Loughborough's building in London – will visit the University next week to share his vision for the future of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Gavin Poole will deliver a presentation about the regeneration of the 2012 Olympic Games site and the inspirational Here East development on Monday 2 March, in Burleigh Court, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Staff and students are welcome to attend.

Loughborough University in London will open in September 2015 on a site which is set to become a world-leading centre of innovation, education, research and enterprise. The new campus for postgraduate and executive education will attract students from both the UK and overseas who want a first class London-based education and wider student experience, coupled with Loughborough’s strengths in delivering research and enterprise informed teaching.

Professor Mike Caine, Dean of LUiL, said: “Sometimes a venture comes along that can truly be described as a once in a lifetime opportunity. Here East is one such opportunity; it supports not only the development of thriving and collaborative communities, but enables enterprising people and innovative organisations across a range of creative industries to co-locate and share ideas.

“Gavin’s presentation is a brilliant opportunity to find out more about what the Here East site has to offer and its potential for future growth, with Loughborough University playing a big part in this development. And will be an ideal opportunity for final year students thinking about further study to find out more about what Loughborough's London campus has to offer."
