ManBus stops off at LU

ManBus

The Prostaid ManBus was on campus earlier this month, as part of a campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

The bus was staffed by volunteer patients from Prostaid who gave out information about the disease.

Prostaid was formed in 2006 and has since raised more than £1 million. It funds two specialist prostate cancer nurses – one in the urology department at Leicester General Hospital, with support from Prostate Cancer UK, and one wholly-funded nurse in the oncology department at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

The charity also pays for equipment at Leicester's hospitals to improve treatment and care of men with prostate cancer.
