Weavers awards for arts trio

Three Loughborough School of the Arts students have been awarded scholarships by the Worshipful Company of Weavers.
Nicola Adams was awarded £3,000, while Olivia Sammons and Ruth Hepburn each received £1,000. All three are specialising in Woven Textiles on the Textile Innovation and Design course.
Nicola received her award from Ms Justine Picardie, Editor-in-Chief of Harpers’ Bazaar, at the annual Textile Awards Ceremony and Court Lunch at Saddlers’ Hall, London.
Loughborough University also received £10,294 from the Support for Education Award to buy a Swiss ARM loom, plus £1,000 towards the cost of yarn for final year students.
