Book of remembrance opened for Ben Pocock

A Book of Remembrance for Ben Pocock has been opened in the chapel, which is located in The Centre for Faith and Spirituality in the Brockington Building. The book is available to everyone who would llike to write down their thoughts about Ben or send their condolences to his family.

Ben, who was a student on the BSc International Business degree, was a passenger on the Malaysian Airways flight that crashed last week. He had just completed his second year and was flying out to begin a professional placement and study abroad period at the University of Western Australia, as part of his third year.

Ben was an excellent student and also a talented athlete, who played on the University Athletic Union’s Ultimate Frisbee team and won their ‘Player of the Year’ honour.

He will be very much missed by the many friends he had both within the School of Business and Economics and the wider University.
